< Tarazelle > There seem to be so many different races around here, its quite strange. I've never seen so many different sorts of people in one place before. Its amazing that after more than 1000 years I'm still able to achieve new insights into the way the world works.
< Pascale > Thats just because you've never been to New Wessmark. That filthy city has all these races and more. Most of these folk are trying to get there, I just wish they could make they could be there and not here.
< Tarazelle > Interesting, you Dagati peoples are a strange lot. I never could have imagined that so many races could have developed in such close circumstances.
< Pascale > Thats the subject of one our oldest tales, every child taller than my knees can recite it from memory. Even so, it was always one of the most requested songs on the road. Its amazing the kind of asinine grip people manage to have on such things, probably because it makes them feel more safe and secure to know that the gods had a direct hand in their creation.
< Tarazelle > Hmm, I never read anything on that and I've read everything that an entire legion of Jaeli scholars has written about you newcomers. With so many sources so close at hand you should probably write all this down.
< Pascale > I am. At least I'll come out of this whole Gulf of Axalle mess with some academic credits to add to my already extensive list of honors.
Redstone is profuse with sentient races, many of whom are available as player characters and each with their own customs and foibles. The Races of the Redstone setting are divided into three broad categories.
- Races of The Old World - These are the Races that migrated to the New World from the west after the Great War sank the continent of Dagat. All the PC races are in this section.
- Races of the New World - These are the intelligent inhabitants of the New World, who have lived here since time immemorial.
- Races of the Unknown World - These are the races who come from lands with whom the Dagati have little contact.
